Castleton Garland Day – 29th May 2023
Castleton Garland Day is held on May 29 (unless that date falls on a Sunday, when the custom is transferred to the Saturday or Monday) in the village of Castleton in the Derbyshire Peak District. The Garland King, on horseback, and covered to the waist in a heavy, bell-shaped floral Garland, leads a procession through the village.

Bolsover Castle Knights’ Tournament. – 17th & 18th June 2023
Go back in time and get closer to the action as rival knights compete in the ultimate test of strength and skill at the Bolsover Castle Knights’ Tournament. Swords will clash and the winner will be decided in the Grand Melee finale. Immerse yourself in the Middle Ages in the encampment, where reenactors will tell you all about medieval craft-making, weapon repairs, cooking and day-to-day life.

Bakewell Country Festival – 16th July 2023
Bakewell Show is one of the oldest agricultural shows in the UK with almost 200 years of history. It retains a strong agricultural identity and has evolved to include a variety of attractions, traders and competitions, making the Show a fun day out for the whole family.

Cromford Steam Rally is Derbyshire’s premier steam heritage and vintage rally set in the Derbyshire hills. Cromford Steam showcases the very best in our steam, transport and leisure industries, from steam traction engines, showmans engines, road rollers to vintage cars, motorcycles, and commercial lorries.

Ashover Show is one of the finest agricultural shows in the country. Known locally as the ‘friendly show’, it’s an event the whole family can enjoy.
Peakender – 18th – 20th August
Thornbridge Brewery presents Peakender, a family friendly beer, food and music festival set in the heart of the stunning Peak District at Bakewell Showground.
Ashbourne Show – 19th August 2023
Ashbourne Show is a traditional country and agricultural show, providing entertainment and interest, in a friendly atmosphere, making a great day out for all the family. We pride ourselves on maintaining high entries in Shire, cattle, sheep, goat and light horse classes. With around 150 quality trade stands, there is an excellent Crafts Tent and Food Hall. The main ring will be busy all day with entertainment (see website for details). The Grand Parade of prize-winning Cattle, Sheep and Shire and Heavy horses should be truly spectacular. Finally, relax with a bite and a cuppa, at the food mall or in the bar.

Run a programme of regular and one-off Concerts and Special Events in Peak Cavern throughout the year.

Matlock Bath Illuminations – TBC
Matlock Bath Illuminations is a fun-packed family event featuring a spectacular parade of illuminated and decorated boats along the River Derwent.
